My Opinions and Recommendations

She is the queen of the Lillith Fair and one of the most well known female solo acts popular today. I own two of her CDs, along with the Aida single, which contains my favorite song of hers, I Will Remember You.

Off Fumbling toward Ecstasy, I adore Ice Cream and Good Enough. Off the more popular Surfacing album, I like I Love You and Building a Mystery. I saw her live at the Lillith Fair a few years ago and the live version is so much better than the CD version. The Remixed CD is very interesting. Sarah has such a calm voice, so when mixed with techno beats, it can put you in a trance. I really like Hold On (BT Mix). I wasn't really a fan of this song in its original form, either. She sings one of Delirium's originals, Silence (DJ Tiesto's in Search of Sunrise Remix) that I really like too.

Sarah did not disappoint with her release of new material in 2003. It is another great album where her smooth voice sings about love and being loved. The lyrics are so real and engaging. I love it. I especially love Train Wreck and Push. I hope she releases these as singles.

As for other artists that I would recommend to the Sarah McLachlan fan, I would suggest India Arie - Acoustic Soul. She has a very relaxing sound, similar to Sarah's. I would also suggest Sade's Lovers Rock which is smooth and very romantic. Also look into Jewel, who has performed with her at the Lillith Fair.
